Northern Star Resources currently has a site-based opportunity for a Mine Control Operator to join the team at our Jundee Operations, working an ongoing 8&6 roster, on a permanent & full-time basis. Working in the Underground Mining division, this opportunity will suit a high‑performing individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about their growth and development.
Here’s what awaits you.
- Monitor and capture data for all underground activities with the mine control team.
- Conducting data validation with key stakeholders on a daily to monthly basis.
- Maintain operating systems, data capture and reporting.
- Operate and manage mine communication and monitoring systems.
- Monitor ventilation, emergency response and safety management systems.
- Coordinate responses to alarms, incidents and operational disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with underground personnel, supervisors, emergency response teams and site personnel.
- Perform administrative duties.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous underground operations experience.
- Exposure to Deswik Ops and SCADA would be highly desirable.
- A sound knowledge of underground machinery and equipment.
- Experience using multi-channel radio communication networks.
- Sound computer literacy & strong database administration skills.
