Purpose;
The Cyber Security Support Analyst is primarily responsible for managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) functions across Angle Auto Finance, with a strong focus on the administration, configuration, governance, and ongoing support of key identity platforms including Okta, Auth0, Microsoft Entra ID, and Identity Protection solutions.
In addition to IAM responsibilities, the role supports broader cyber security operations through participation in security incident response activities, governance, risk and compliance initiatives, security reporting, and the administration of cyber security tools and infrastructure. The role contributes to the effective delivery of Angle Auto Finance's cyber security strategy, regulatory obligations, and risk management objectives.
As Angle Auto Finance continues to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, this role will also support the implementation and operation of AI security and governance controls. This includes assisting with the monitoring of AI-related risks, supporting compliance with AI governance frameworks and policies, and helping ensure AI solutions are deployed in a secure and responsible manner.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop expertise in Identity and Access Management while gaining exposure across a broad range of cyber security disciplines, including security operations, governance, compliance, and emerging AI security practices.
The successful candidate will play an active role in both the strategic and operational aspects of cyber security, contributing to the ongoing protection, resilience, and innovation of the organisation.
Key Capabilities;
Identity & Access Management;
Drive continuous improvement of Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities, processes, and controls across both BAU operations and project initiatives.
Design, implement, and maintain secure identity patterns and standards for onboarding applications and services, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
Administer and support core IAM platforms, including Okta, Auth0, Microsoft Entra ID, and Identity Protection.
Ensure effective management of the user identity lifecycle, including joiners, movers, leavers, access recertification, and privileged access governance.
Proactively monitor, investigate, and resolve operational issues impacting IAM systems, processes, and user access services.
Security Operations & Resilience
Support the detection, investigation, triage, and response to cyber security incidents and operational security events.
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and managed service providers to contain, remediate, and recover from security incidents.
Monitor and manage identified vulnerabilities, ensuring remediation activities are tracked and completed within agreed timeframes.
Support threat monitoring, security investigations, and operational security improvement initiatives.
Security Technology & Engineering
Support the ongoing administration, optimisation, and enhancement of cyber security tools and technologies.
Partner with the Security Engineer to improve the effectiveness, automation, and integration of security platforms and controls.
Assist in the implementation of new security capabilities, controls, and technology solutions that strengthen Angle Auto Finance's cyber security posture.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of security standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
AI Security & Governance
Support the delivery of the Angle Auto Finance AI Strategy by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure AI-related processes, controls, and solutions.
Assist in assessing and managing AI-related security, privacy, compliance, and operational risks.
Contribute to the implementation of AI governance controls that promote the safe, secure, and responsible use of AI technologies across the organisation.
Monitor emerging AI security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry developments and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Demonstrates strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Effectively communicates technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Builds trusted relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, suppliers, and external partners.
Produces clear and professional documentation, reports, and recommendations.
Qualifications;
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Relevant cyber security, cloud, or identity certifications
Industry Certifications like CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA (highly desirable)
Experiences;
Experience in Cyber Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), IT Security, IT Operations, Service Desk, or a related technology support role.
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management principles, including user lifecycle management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and access governance.
Experience supporting identity platforms such as Okta, Auth0, Microsoft Entra ID, or similar technologies.
Good understanding of cyber security principles, common threats, security controls, and incident response processes.
Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving technical and security-related incidents and issues.
Familiarity with security operations, vulnerability management, endpoint security, phishing, and threat detection activities.
Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight, NIST, and NIST 800-61 Incident Response.
Experience preparing security reports, audit artefacts, compliance evidence, and operational documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working collaboratively across Technology, Cyber Security, business teams, and third-party suppliers.
Exposure to cloud security, AI governance, or AI security practices is desirable.
