Join our team as a reliable Kitchen Hand in a fast-paced CBD cafe. Part-time position, Tuesday to Thursday, approximately 24 hours per week.
Role Description
Working as part of our kitchen team, your duties will include:
- Cutting and preparing vegetables
- Preparing mise en place for service
- Preparing various recipes and food items
- Assisting with general kitchen duties
- Dishwashing and maintaining a clean kitchen
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils and equipment
- Keeping the kitchen organised and ready for service
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
The ideal candidate for this position has:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen role in Australia
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and tools
- Highly organised and efficient work habits
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, positive and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Fluent English communication skills
Pay: $33.05 per hour
