Kiki is a vibrant modern Asian fusion restaurant located in the heart of Darlinghurst. We're passionate about delivering bold flavours, quality ingredients, and exceptional dining experiences. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
As a Chef de Partie, you'll be responsible for running your section efficiently while maintaining our high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. You'll work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Confidently cook steaks to customer specifications.
- Grill fish and seafood with accuracy and consistency.
- Demonstrate strong basic pan skills across a range of dishes.
- Manage your section during service and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with food preparation, stock rotation, and daily mise en place.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and stock control when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef ready to step up.
- Solid experience cooking steaks, grilling fish, and using basic pan techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy service environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mindset.
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
- Full working rights in Australia.
