The Opportunity
Our Administration Services team at Melbourne Private Hospital have a new opportunity for an experienced Medical Administrator to join our team in a busy Preadmissions and Bookings team.
Working in a critical role, this person will be accountable for providing admin support to assist our clinical team- nursing staff, specialists and allied health professionals as well as deliver a high level of patient experience.

Melbourne Private hospital is a 124- bed private hospital co- located at the Royal Melbourne in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10 bed intensive care unit, 4 bed acute coronary care unit and 6 bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
Essential Criteria

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Good oral and written communication skills

Well organised, able to prioritise, plan and work under pressure

Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team, successfully

Ability to learn fast

Reliable, professional and well presented

Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

Able to do early starts (6am)
Desirable criteria

Knowledge in medical terminology & procedures

Previous experience in a Ward Clerk position OR a medical/specialist suite co-ordinator

Experience with Webpas Medical Software System
