ACCOUNTANT - BDS GOLD COAST
We are seeking a motivated and experienced full-time Accountant to join our Head Office team in Arundel on the Gold Coast. In this key role, you will oversee the company's financial operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts and payroll functions, and preparing timely financial reports. You will ensure all financial activities are completed in accordance with company policies and comply with relevant corporate, legal, and statutory obligations while supporting the continued growth and success of the business.

Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that suitable applicants possess a proven background as an Accountant.
Accountabilities also encompasses the management of Accounts & the development and interpretation of financial reports and financial forecasts. This role will be reporting directly to the Director and Operations Manager.
Duties include / but not limited to:
- Monthly and year end processing
- Reconcile, manage and oversee accounts
- Provide financial advice to stakeholders
- Prepare ATO reports
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of data
- Support accounts team in head office
- Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and profit and loss
- Cash flow/Budget forecasting & management
- Prepare monthly financial statement
- Ensure taxation/Audit & legislative compliance
- Weekly payroll management
To be considered for this role you'll be:
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Highly analytical & organized with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience with XERO an advantage
- Strong business acumen & commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills oral & written (Business)
- Proficiency in all facets of the financial accounting function
- Hands on with a positive proactive demeanour
- Experience with Employment Hero payroll software an advantage
- IT proficient
