The Eyre Hotel is searching for an experienced Casual Duty Manager to help lead the team across busy evening and night trade in one of Whyalla’s most iconic hospitality venues.
Operating 365 days a year with a bustling front bar, gaming lounge, bistro, accommodation, and late-night trade, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can stay calm under pressure, back their team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences every shift.

You’re a natural leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting your team, and creating a venue atmosphere customers want to come back to.
You’ll ideally bring:
Previous hospitality leadership experience
Strong background in bar, gaming, restaurant, or hotel operations
Confidence leading teams during busy services
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
High attention to detail and operational awareness
Reliability and availability for evenings, weekends, and late-night finishes
A calm, professional approach under pressure
Initiative, accountability, and a hands-on attitude

You must have:
Current RSA Certificate
Current RSG/Basic Gaming Certificate
RP Badge
TAB accreditation (preferred)
Australian working rights
Availability across evenings, weekends, and public holidays
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Duty Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading shifts and ensuring the venue operates smoothly, safely, and professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the venue team during evening and late-night trade
Supporting bar, gaming, food service, and customer operations
Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues professionally
Supervising staff performance and providing on-shift coaching
Managing gaming compliance and RSA requirements
Cash handling, till balancing, and venue security procedures
Monitoring presentation, cleanliness, and service standards
Supporting stock control and operational procedures
Creating a positive, productive, and team-focused work environment
