Woods Accounting & Tax Services is seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Bookkeeper to join our team.
No bookkeeping experience is necessary—we're looking for someone with the right attitude, excellent attention to detail and a genuine desire to learn. We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
This role will primarily involve providing bookkeeping services for one of our major client groups. As your experience develops, you will also have the opportunity to assist with bookkeeping for a range of other clients across different industries.
About the Role
You will be trained to provide a complete bookkeeping service, including:
- Accounts payable (creditors)
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll processing
- BAS preparation and lodgement
- General ledger processing
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Liaising with clients regarding bookkeeping matters
- Assisting with bookkeeping for other client groups as required
About You
The successful applicant will:

- Be reliable, trustworthy and professional.
- Enjoy learning and developing new skills.
- Be comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Be able to work independently and take ownership of their work once training has been completed.
- Be someone who enjoys responsibility and can confidently manage routine tasks with minimal supervision after completing their training.
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is not required. We are far more interested in your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn than your previous experience.
