Crosslight Anglican Church is seeking a mission-minded Assistant Minister to lead and grow our 10am congregation at our Mortdale site.
About Us
Crosslight is a thriving gospel-focused church with a clear mission to make and mature disciples of Jesus, for God's glory. Our vision is to see all of Peakhurst, Mortdale, and beyond transformed by the good news of Jesus. We are a church with over 340 adults and children gathering in four services across two sites (Mortdale and Peakhurst). We are a warm, welcoming church with a strong commitment to discipleship, evangelism, community engagement, and raising up the next generation.
About the Role
The core responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading and shaping the culture, mission, and discipleship of our 10am Mortdale congregation to make and mature disciples of Jesus
- Establish ministry teams and processes to ensure newcomers are followed up and integrated, and existing members are established and equipped to be disciple-making disciples
- Recruit, equip, and support ministry team leaders
- Champion a ministry portfolio across the parish (growth groups, welcoming, or mission)
- Teach scripture in one of our local primary schools
- Preaching at our Sunday services
- Lead Sunday services as required
The role includes preaching, pastoral oversight, newcomer integration, leadership development, outreach initiatives, and helping people move from attendance to active discipleship and service.
About You
Ideally, you will be an experienced candidate with proven gifts and characteristics in the following areas:
- a gifted preacher who can teach clearly and preach to the heart
- able to envision and build teams to help achieve our mission and vision
- highly organised and able to juggle multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and outcomes
- strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills`
- heart for loving those under your care
- heart for the lost and active in seeing others come to know Jesus
- able to collaborate, contribute, and work together with others
- theologically trained with Reformed, evangelical convictions
- ordained or willing to be ordained
