Steel Distribution & Processing Workshop
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Picker and Packer to join our warehouse and workshop team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy and organisation, and can work effectively in a busy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick steel products and materials accurately according to customer orders and job requirements
- Check quantities, sizes, specifications, and job details before packing
- Pack and prepare steel products safely and securely for customer deliveries
- Ensure picked and packed orders are clearly identified and ready for dispatch
- Assist with loading and preparing materials for delivery
- Move and organise materials throughout the warehouse and workshop as required
- Assist with material preparation and general workshop duties
- Check finished orders for accuracy and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors
- Maintain organised stock locations and ensure materials are stored safely
- Complete basic paperwork, job tracking, and system updates where required
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
- Follow all workplace procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards
- Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, production operators, and drivers to ensure orders are prepared on time

- Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks to a high standard
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Ability to work safely around steel products, machinery, forklifts, and other workshop equipment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop and meet daily deadlines
- Previous experience in steel, manufacturing, warehousing, picking and packing, or a similar environment is advantageous but not essential
- Forklift licence would be an advantage but is not essential
