Youth Activity Assistant / Coach – Ascot / Brisbane Northside
Pay: $60.00 per 1.5-hour session ($40/hr)
Location: Ascot State School (Mandatory: Must live in the area)
The Vibe: Sharky Sports isn't just a soccer program; it’s an entertainment experience for kids aged 3–11. We hire for personality and energy—not soccer skills. Theatre, drama, or teaching backgrounds/students are highly encouraged.
The Role:
- Support the Head Coach in running high-energy sessions at primary schools.
- Primary Need: Wednesdays during school terms (approx. 3:00pm – 4:30pm).
- Growth Opportunity: We are expanding! High performers who show initiative and reliability will be fast-tracked to Head Coach roles ($120 per 2-hour session / $60 per hour). If you impress, there is potential to run your own sessions, including our new Petrie location next term and even weekend sessions. Our only limitation is finding the right staff.
The Standard (Read Carefully):
- Reliability: Last-minute "day of" cancellations are not accepted. We need people we can count on.
- Initiative: We want people who jump in, engage the kids, and show leadership without being asked.
- Accountability: This is a performance-based environment. High performers receive priority for shifts and more hours. If you show initiative and the kids love you, you’ll stay busy.
The Interview Process: If your application stands out, we will do a 5-minute screening call. During this call, you will be asked to explain a basic kids' game (like 'Traffic Lights' or 'Duck Duck Goose') to us over the phone. We want to hear your "Coach Voice," your enthusiasm, and how you sell the fun!
Requirements:
- Must live in Brisbane North (No long commutes—locals only).
- Blue Card (or willing to get one).
- Confident speaking to groups of children and parents.
- Extremely reliable and professional.
