Position
We are looking for a safety conscious, dedicated and appropriately experienced and qualified individual to join Council's wastewater treatment plants team.
Working as part of a small team, this position plays an important role in ensuring Council’s wastewater and recycled water treatment facilities operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
The Water and Wastewater Section is responsible for delivering high-quality drinking water, recycled water and wastewater services to our community. As part of this team, you will use your technical expertise and practical problem-solving skills to operate, monitor and maintain treatment plant facilities, identify and resolve faults, and respond to operational challenges.
A key aspect of the role will be sharing your knowledge and experience by training and mentoring trainees, while working collaboratively with your team to achieve operational goals and deliver reliable services to the community.
To be successful you will bring

- Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations including adherence to regulatory, health, environmental and safety requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff.
- Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablets, iPhone) applications.

- An annual salary range of $68,500 to $78,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
