Abacus & Coding Teacher (Part-Time/Casual) – BestBrains Learning Centre

BestBrains Learning Centre is seeking enthusiastic and engaging teachers to deliver our Abacus and Coding programs to primary school students. Full training, curriculum materials, and lesson resources are provided.
Coding Teacher
Suitable for students from Grade 1 and above
Responsibilities:
- Teach coding concepts using the Scratch programming platform.
- Guide students through structured coding activities and projects.
- Assist students in understanding and completing coding exercises.
- Encourage problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking.
- Support students when they require help with concepts or activities.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Scratch programming or similar block-based coding platforms.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly to young learners.
- Passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is desirable but not essential.
Abacus Teacher
Suitable for students from Grade 1 and above
Responsibilities:
- Teach Abacus concepts using our structured curriculum.
- Help students develop mental arithmetic and number sense skills.
- Explain place value concepts thoroughly and age-appropriately.
- Demonstrate proper use of the Abacus tool and guide students through exercises.
- Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and support.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with using an Abacus and teaching basic arithmetic concepts.
- Strong understanding of place values and foundational mathematics.
- Ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or Abacus instruction experience is preferred.
