This is a hybrid position. Your primary identity with TDAC is as a support worker — and additional support hours are available beyond the program scope. Embedded within that role is a specific, recurring set of responsibilities: planning and facilitating our Life Skills Program each week, coordinating program logistics through our operating systems, and managing materials budgets and supplies.
Sessions are hands-on and activity-based — this is not a classroom. You'll shape content around the group, keep things practical and engaging, and help participants build genuine capability over the course of the program. Beyond delivery, you'll take ownership of the operational side — coordinating logistics via TDAC's systems and keeping materials budgets and supplies on track.
Our Life Skills Program covers practical, real-world content shaped around the interests and goals of each group. Areas include:
- Goal setting, planning and time management
- Decision-making and problem solving
- Communication and teamwork
- Money handling and everyday numeracy
- Health, wellbeing and exercise
- Job tasks and vocational readiness
- Speaking up and self-advocacy
