Finance Manager – Aged Care & NDIS

About Us:
People First Healthcare is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing organisation and take ownership of financial operations across our group of businesses, including People First Workforce, Ace Renovation Group and ECT.
Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, funding compliance and Aged Care & NDIS claiming, while leading and developing our finance team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on finance leadership position suited to someone who understands both finance and funded care environments.
You will be responsible for:

Managing monthly financial reporting, reconciliations and management accounts.
- Leading Aged Care and NDIS claiming and funding reconciliations.
- Reconciling PRODA, Lookout, NDIS payments and Plan Manager payments.
- Monitoring HCP/Support at Home and NDIS underspend and overspend.
- Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Analysing financial performance, KPIs and budget variances.
- Supporting QFR, ACFR and other funding and regulatory reporting.
- Managing statutory compliance including BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and FBT.
- Coordinating audits and working with external accountants and auditors.
- Managing debtors, fixed assets, loans and other financial registers.
- Strengthening financial controls, processes and systems.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Leading, coaching and developing the finance team.
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can combine strong accounting skills with an understanding of Aged Care and/or NDIS funding environments.
You will ideally have:

Experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or similar leadership role.
- Strong Aged Care and/or NDIS claiming and funding experience.
- Experience with PRODA and Lookout or similar systems.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Strong month-end, reconciliation and financial reporting experience.
- Knowledge of Australian taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience leading, mentoring or supervising a finance team.
- Strong Excel and financial systems capability.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
