You want to actively participate in shaping policies and initiatives that reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy adoption, and enhance the overall environmental performance of the transport network.
In this role, you'll:
Work as part of a team of environment and sustainability partnering services across Transport Roads and Active Projects. This role will see you work across a portfolio of programs and projects to drive environment and sustainability outcomes by coordinating the biodiversity offsets obligation for the portfolio in line with Transport’s Biodiversity Policy. This role will see you track project/program biodiversity offsetting requirements, acquire and retire biodiversity credits on behalf of projects, and account for the biodiversity credits that have been acquired, retired, or retained by Transport for each project.
Please note this is a Temporary full-time role until February 2027.

About you
Your excellent communication, strong stakeholder engagement and analytical skills formed while working across transport infrastructure projects will see you excel in providing appropriate advice and guidance to the project teams around their biodiversity offsets. You're recognised as an environment and sustainability professional with a strong eye for detail, skilled at understanding, analysing, monitoring, acquiring and trading biodiversity offsets ideally in transport infrastructure projects.
