Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Various shifts available, including days, afternoons, nights and weekends. Experience in PEG Feeding, manual handling and supporting participants with Complex Behaviours is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities:

Advocate for Participants to ensure they are empowered to be heard and effectively communicate their needs and wants.
- Assist with supervision of medications in line with Individual Support Plans.
- Assist Participants with personal hygiene, and perform basic personal cares such as applying and changing dressings, toileting, bathing, etc.
- Observe and report any changes in the Participant's condition.
- Interact with family members and friends to ensure all needs are met.
- Undertake errands, shopping, appointments, and other essential community access needs if required.
- Assist in light domestic duties such as meal preparation, cooking, cleaning etc.
- Assist with rehabilitation exercises and basic treatment when required.
- Complete concise reporting.
Qualifications:

Certificate III in Individual Support or relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable qualifications and experience.
- Willingness to gain further qualifications and experience if new to the industry.
- Current Drivers Licence (C class).
- Possession of a Positive Notice Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Current CPR & First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- A passion for people and a genuine interest in listening and responding to the needs of others.
- The physical capability to carry out a range of manual tasks.
- Having a genuine desire to improve the quality of life of the Participants you support by allowing them to have choice and control over their lives.
- After completing successful probation period, permanent part-time positions are available to enable career progression.
