What’s the job?
The Salesforce CRM Tech Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud solutions across Torrens University. This role combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with strong technical leadership, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions aligned with business and enterprise architecture objectives.
Seasoned developer on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and integrations with extensive knowledge of building solutions on Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Agentic AI. Operating within a complex integration landscape, the role will drive solution architecture, establish engineering standards, and guide development practices across Salesforce and integrated platforms, including the Student Management System (Banner) and middleware technologies such as Informatica.
Principal accountabilities include (but are not limited to):
Define, govern, and continuously evolve Salesforce engineering standards, architecture principles, design patterns, and development frameworks across the Salesforce ecosystem. Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code quality governance, mentoring, and engineering oversight to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and custom platform capabilities. Drive solution quality, performance, security, and scalability while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Own end-to-end Salesforce solution architecture, including application design, data architecture, integration architecture, security models, and platform governance. Ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems such as Banner Student Management System, middleware platforms, data services, and external applications.
Serve as the senior technical authority for Salesforce, providing leadership in complex problem resolution, platform optimisation, root cause analysis, and critical incident management. Act as the final escalation point for technical risks, defects, and architectural challenges.
Lead Salesforce DevOps and release management practices, including environment strategy, CI/CD pipeline design, deployment governance, source control standards, automated testing, and release planning across all Salesforce environments.
8+ years of Salesforce platform experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale CRM, digital engagement, and integration solutions across multiple Salesforce clouds.
Demonstrated experience in a Salesforce Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, or similar leadership role, providing technical direction, mentoring engineers, and leading end-to-end solution delivery.
Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, including lead management, opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline management, and sales process optimisation.
Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, including Case Management, Entitlements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Escalations, Omni-Channel Routing, Knowledge Management, and customer service operations.
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Mobile Studio, AMPscript, SQL, segmentation, personalisation, and marketing automation best practices.
This is a full-time permanent role with hybrid flexibility and is based at our Surry Hills Campus in Sydney. Candidates must have full, ongoing working rights in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
