Role summary
The Distribution Manager / Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing, and coordinating the storage, movement, and distribution of goods so products reach customers efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, inventory, and transportation.
- Develop and implement purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies and plans.
- Maintain stock levels, reduce costs, and monitor inventory systems for accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate shipments, delivery schedules, freight, and distribution routes.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Track performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and improve operational processes.
- Lead, train, and monitor staff performance across warehouse and logistics teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Required skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or distribution operations.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyse data, manage KPIs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, logistics software, and transport coordination.
Pay: $48.94 – $52.00 per hour
