IMPORTANT: This is an independent contractor opportunity and is 100% commission-based. There is no fixed salary or hourly wage for this position. Earnings are based on commission from eligible sales generated through new customers introduced to Metrobuild.
The Opportunity
Metrobuild is seeking an experienced and motivated Independent Sales Representative / Business Development Contractor to generate new business and develop new customer relationships within the building and construction industry.
This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity with flexible working arrangements.
The primary focus of the role is to independently identify, approach and bring new customers to Metrobuild. The representative will earn an agreed commission on eligible sales generated from customers they introduce and develop.
You will have flexibility in managing your own schedule and business development activities.
For the right person who performs well and develops a strong customer portfolio, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time sales/account management position in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently identify and develop new business opportunities
- Generate new customer accounts and sales
- Build relationships with builders, developers and construction companies
- Develop relationships with renderers, façade and cladding contractors and other trades
- Visit prospective customers and construction sites
- Introduce and promote Metrobuild's building products and solutions
- Follow up leads, quotations and potential customers
- Maintain and grow relationships with customers introduced to Metrobuild
- Manage your own schedule and sales activities
About You
- Previous sales or business development experience
- Experience within the building, construction or building materials industry preferred
- Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills
- Confident in approaching and developing new customers
- Existing construction industry contacts highly regarded
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Current driver's licence
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related field preferred

Please note: This opportunity is offered on an independent contractor and commission-only basis.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
