Spinal Life Australia is a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation supporting people living with spinal cord injury to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team to travel and support clients within Southeast Queensland (Brisbane & surrounds).

About the role As a Community Nurse, you will deliver holistic, in-home nursing care to individuals living with spinal cord injury. You will work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to support client wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include
- Bladder, bowel, continence, and respiratory management
- Complex wound care and pressure injury management
- Catheter changes and clinical assessments
- Tracheostomy care and respiratory support (training provided if required)
- Client education and empowerment to promote independence
- Clinical guidance and training for Personal Support Workers
- Liaising with allied health professionals and external providers
- Client visits – within southeast Queensland (Brisbane & surrounds)
What we are looking for
- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
- Minimum two years post-graduate nursing experience (community nursing preferred)
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- A caring, empathetic, and person-centred approach
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working with people with spinal cord injury
- Experience or interest in tracheostomy and ventilation care
