Remuneration: $72,000 - $79,000 commensurate with skills, experience and responsibilities, plus Superannuation.
The Crop Farm Worker performs tasks in producing our crops, including cereals, grains, cotton, fruit and vegetables.
Duties
- Support with planting, cultivation, spraying and harvesting of crops.
- Checking, inspecting and reporting on the condition of crops.
- Undertaking soil preparation, cultivation and fertilising.
- Operating water and irrigation systems.
- Selecting and picking fruit and vegetables according to set requirements.
- Harvesting fruit & vegetables and preparing produce for distribution.
- Performing work routines and day to day production operations.
- Operating data collection and farm technology systems.
- Support with the operation and maintenance of farming equipment and machinery.
- Complying with Workplace Health & Safety.
- General farm labour.
Essential
- At least one year of full-time work experience as a Crop Farm Worker.
- Drivers licence.
- Physically fit & able.
- Agronomy knowledge/interest.
- Tractor experience.
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Be willing to participate in random drug and alcohol testing.
Desirable
- Forklift ticket.
- Heavy vehicle licence.
- Chemical users certificate.
Other Information
- Kununurra is a remote area with an extreme climate. Workers must be fit to work in high temperatures and high humidity.
