WHY BAI COMMUNICATIONS
It’s an exciting time to be part of BAI Communications. Building on our achievements in broadcasting, telecommunications and critical communications, we continue to expand our operations, helping connect people and support communities.
We operate one of the world’s most extensive broadcast networks, delivering fully managed television and radio services to 99% of the Australian population. During crises such as natural disasters, national broadcasters depend on BAI to maintain vital communications, while emergency services trust us to keep them connected and informed.
As 5G technology transforms connectivity, BAI is leveraging global experience to enable comprehensive coverage in challenging environments—buildings, tunnels, stadiums, and high-density areas. This expertise positions us at the forefront of intelligent, connected infrastructure development across Australia.
Our acquisition of Titan ICT has strengthened our mission-critical capabilities, adding deep expertise in mining, resources, and energy industries. This expansion enables us to deploy robust solutions across Australia’s most demanding operational environments.

LET’S EXPLORE THE ROLE
This role sits at the intersection of electrical engineering and telecommunications, focused on delivering robust, high-availability network infrastructure across mining and resource environments.
You will design and support mission critical systems including private LTE/5G networks, radio communications, and supporting electrical infrastructure, ensuring reliability in highly demanding and remote locations. From concept through to detailed design and implementation, your work will directly support operational continuity and safety across critical sites.
Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to solutions that integrate power, communications, and network systems into seamless, resilient environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical designs supporting telecommunications infrastructure, including power systems and distribution
- Design and integrate private LTE/5G, RF, and mission-critical communication networks
- Produce detailed engineering documentation including schematics, layouts, and specifications
- Support project delivery from concept design through to commissioning
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards and site-specific requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network, civil, and project engineers
- Conduct site assessments and provide technical input for complex operating environments
- Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices and design standards
LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
You bring experience in electrical design within industrial, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments, with exposure to systems requiring high availability and reliability. Your background includes designing power and communications infrastructure, ideally within mining, resources, or similarly complex sectors.
You are familiar with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar platforms, and have experience producing detailed technical documentation aligned to industry standards. Exposure to telecommunications systems — including RF, fibre, or private network infrastructure — will enable you to contribute effectively across integrated solutions.
Your approach combines technical depth with practical problem-solving, allowing you to navigate project challenges and deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes in demanding environments. You engage effectively with stakeholders and project teams, ensuring designs are both technically sound and aligned with operational requirements.
