The Role
We are currently seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team. This is a full-time 12 month fixed term role based in our corporate office in Fortitude Valley.
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for ensuring that all payable invoices are entered accurately, payments are processed within each creditors trading terms, and deadlines are met.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Process only authorised tax invoices and paperwork including staff reimbursements, client and estate refunds and petty cash reimbursements
- Prepare and process supplier imports as required and process a high volume of invoices
- Process the payment run on a rotation basis for all entities including correcting any errors
- Respond to supplier and service queries in a professional, polite manner
- File and archive payment runs and supplier information
- Prepare payables invoices for distribution to relevant signatories for approval and follow up for return
- Ensure authorised invoice batches are received from services and follow up if required
Experience and qualifications
- Ability to perform accounts payable processes including supplier statement reconciliations within a high volume processing environment
- Proven ability to deal with supplier queries and outstanding accounts in an efficient manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- An ability to work within a team environment with minimum supervision, prioritise a work schedule and meet deadlines
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, database programs and office equipment
- National Police Check (to be provided during onboarding if successful).
