About the Role
We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and hands-on Assistant Managers and Store Managers to lead operations across three of our high-volume Sushi Train venues.
In this role, you will oversee both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations. You will play a key role in driving daily operations, mentoring staff, ensuring strict food safety standards, and maintaining an outstanding customer experience.

- Sydney CBD (Gateway): L1-07 Gateway, 1 Macquarie Place, Sydney NSW 2000
- Hornsby: Shop 3038 / 236 Pacific Hwy, Hornsby NSW 2077

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily restaurant operations across both FOH and BOH.
- Manage, train, and mentor team members to deliver exceptional food quality and customer service.
- Ensure strict compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Recipes, Hygiene, and Food Safety regulations.
- Manage staff scheduling (rostering), inventory control, and daily stock management.
- Maintain continuous clean operations and high safety standards across the venue.
- Drive store sales targets and maintain smooth service during peak trading periods.
Shifts & Availability
- Full-Time role (38 ordinary hours per week guaranteed).
- Additional hours worked beyond the guaranteed 38 hours may occur based on business needs, paid/compensated in accordance with the applicable Award provisions.
- Flexible availability required, including weekdays, weekends, and peak dining hours (operational hours between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM).
Pay & Conditions
- Pay rates in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award 2020 (based on experience and position level).

Requirements
- Proven management or supervisory experience in hospitality (Japanese cuisine or Sushi Train experience is highly regarded).
- Valid Australian working rights (Full-time work rights required).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive and lead under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible.
