About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead Assembly Line 2 at our Blacktown site. Reporting to the Production Manager – Assembly, you’ll be responsible for ensuring quality products are produced and despatched on time, while maintaining strong safety standards and supporting the performance and development of the assembly team. This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone with solid manufacturing experience and a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Supervise the assembly team by allocating tasks and supporting daily production activities
- Coordinate with Stores, Engineering, and other production lines to maintain steady production flow
- Ensure production schedules, lead times, and manufacturing targets are met
- Manage assembly team performance, attendance, and leave
- Provide on the job training and support cross training across required skills
- Follow and enforce SOPs for machinery and assembly processes
- Maintain housekeeping standards across work areas
- Identify, report, and address health and safety hazards in line with company procedures
- Support quality checks, fault finding, and corrective actions as required
Skills and Experiences:
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Leadership certification or equivalent supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical wiring schematics
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and practices
- Experience with quality assurance and quality control checks
- Continuous improvement or LEAN experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team leadership skills
- Well organised, self‑motivated, and able to work under pressure
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
- Familiarity with Epicor MES systems is an advantage
