Arndell Anglican College invites applications for the position of Grounds and Maintenance Team Member. Reporting to the Facilities and WHS Manager, this role is integral to maintaining the College’s facilities, grounds, buildings, and agricultural spaces to a high standard. Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful applicant will ensure the College’s presentation, safety, and functionality reflect Arndell’s values and support the daily life of the College. Key responsibilities include the maintenance and presentation of facilities, buildings, grounds, sporting fields, lawns, gardens, and Agriculture Farm; supporting College events set up and pack downs; and ensuring compliance with WHS and Child Safe standards. The successful candidate will have experience in facilities or grounds maintenance (preferably in a school setting), relevant trade or horticultural qualifications, strong organisational skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. A current Working With Children Check and driver’s licence are required. The Intern Program is a school-based training program designed to build skills in a broad range of day-to-day school experiences, not ordinarily covered as part of university study or practicum experiences. Alongside university study and as part of the staff team in one of the Anglican Schools Corporation schools, Interns are supported by a dedicated mentor and are engaged in rich learning opportunities in preparation for their first teaching role. The position suits self-motivated people who want to broaden their experience in a school setting alongside their tertiary study.
