About Puckapunyal Health Centre
Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13km west of Seymour. This was first used as a mobilisation and training area during WWI and by 1939, and was formally established in the early 1940’s. It is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, Army Knowledge Centre and Schools of Artillery & Transport. The health centre services up to 4000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health. There is a 12 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).This is a casual role that involves shift work and weekend work.
What you’ll do

Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals

Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care
What you bring
-
Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
-
Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
-
Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
-
Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
-
Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care
-
Ability to work a 24/7 roster
- This role is primarily Monday to Sunday (AM, PM and Night Shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
