Position Summary
The Territory Manager is responsible for delivering the Masterpet Australia sales strategy across their assigned territory by driving sales growth, distribution, retailer engagement, and operational excellence. Based in NSW and servicing NSW Metro and NSW North, this role reports to the Field Manager and acts as the primary point of contact for independent pet specialty stores.
Through the development of strong customer relationships, the Territory Manager works collaboratively with retailers to identify growth opportunities, increase distribution and ranging, improve category performance, and strengthen advocacy for Masterpet brands.
The role is responsible for executing promotional activity and First Moment of Truth (FMOT) standards, delivering high-quality product and nutritional training, and ensuring consistent in-store execution across the territory. By providing commercial insights, business recommendations, and exceptional service, the Territory Manager helps customers grow their business while delivering sales and margin growth objectives for Masterpet Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Achieve sales, volume, margin and distribution targets across the assigned territory.
Identify and convert growth opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
Drive ranging expansion and close distribution gaps across the Masterpet portfolio.
Support successful execution of new product launches and promotional programs.
Customer Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent retailers, veterinary clinics, distributor partners and key stakeholders.
Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
Provide commercially focused recommendations that improve category performance and customer outcomes.
Deliver a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
Training & Education
Deliver engaging product, nutrition and sales training to retail teams.
Build retailer confidence and advocacy for Masterpet brands.
Support customer onboarding, product knowledge and category expertise initiatives.
In-Store Execution
Ensure promotional activity, merchandising standards and FMOT objectives are executed to a high standard.
Monitor compliance to range, pricing and point-of-sale initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve product visibility and shopper conversion.
Territory Planning & Reporting
Effectively manage territory call cycles and customer priorities.
Maintain accurate CRM records, customer information and reporting requirements.
Provide market intelligence, competitor activity and customer feedback to support business decision-making.

Increased advocacy and recommendation of Masterpet brands at store level.
