About the role
This hands-on role is perfect for an experienced Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and develop your leadership abilities, including:
- Adhering to food production and presentation standards, service procedures and service times.
- Creating new menus, recipes, and ways to improve product quality, consistency, and revenue performance.
- Running the pass during services.
- Implementing excellent systems for stock control, rotation, and storage.
- Maintaining and improving staff performance standards and food quality under the guidance of the Head Chef.
- Producing costed rosters and following KPI targets for food cost and wages.
- Preparing order lists for all relevant food items and monitoring daily quality.
- Conducting accurate stock takes every four weeks.
- Giving clear instructions and guidance to team members to ensure smooth and effective shifts.
- Contributing to staff training and development.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 1 year full-time work experience in a similar role.
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and a Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Passion for creating memorable dining experiences using local and sustainable ingredients.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
