Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified Application Engineer to join our mechanical design and technical support team at Wittur Australia. The role involves developing and adapting elevator component designs for modernization projects, supporting customers with technical and commercial solutions, and coordinating with global engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse customer requirements and site data to determine suitable modernization solutions for elevator doors and components.
- Develop detailed mechanical designs and layouts using SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Prepare manufacturing documentation, BOMs, and installation manuals.
- Conduct site surveys in Australia and New Zealand to support design and installation accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance to sales, production, and field service teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure product quality, safety, and performance compliance.
- Liaise with the global Wittur engineering team on product improvements and process optimisations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant work experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, or the lift/elevator industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of engineering standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and ability to travel interstate or to NZ as required.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Conditions of Employment
Monday – Friday permanent Full-time with flexible start and finish times
Salary: AUD 80,000 + 14% Superannuation.
Location: Arndell Park, Sydney NSW.
14% superannuation.
5 weeks annual leave plus leave loading.
