Cafe 66 is an established Italian café and restaurant located in the heart of Port Macquarie. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering a modern Italian dining experience. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic and modern Italian dishes with consistency and high quality.
- Develop and maintain seasonal menus, incorporating fresh and local produce.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen inventory efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with management to deliver an excellent dining experience.
- Assist the Chef
Requirements:
- Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent hospitality-related field.
- 1–2 years of full-time experience in preparing and cooking modern Italian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Italian culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a busy environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for food, creativity, and attention to detail.
