The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will lead the development and execution of strategic procurement and supply chain initiatives across Dyno Nobel's direct spend categories. Working within a complex manufacturing and mining environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring security of supply, managing commercial risk and delivering sustainable value across the business.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll partner with manufacturing, technology, supply chain and operational teams to develop procurement strategies that strengthen supplier relationships, improve business continuity and support long-term growth. You'll also act as a trusted advisor on market conditions, supply risks and commercial opportunities while contributing to major business projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing procurement and category management strategies across direct spend categories
Leading strategic sourcing activities, supplier negotiations and contract management activities
Building supply chain resilience through risk management, contingency planning and supplier diversification
Managing strategic supplier relationships and driving value creation opportunities
Delivering cost reduction, cost avoidance and continuous improvement initiatives
Coaching and supporting Procurement Specialists while influencing outcomes across a broad stakeholder network
What You'll Bring
A commitment to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
Tertiary qualifications in business, procurement, supply chain or a related discipline (CIPS accreditation desirable)
Experience in direct materials procurement and supply chain management within a large, complex organisation
Strong contract negotiation, drafting and supplier management experience
Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across operational and leadership teams
