We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead business growth through
client acquisition, contract development, strategic partnerships, and market
expansion.
This role suits a commercially minded professional who is driven by results, confident
in building relationships, and motivated by creating opportunities that contribute to the
long-term success of the business.
About the role
You will hold responsibility for business growth, client engagement, and securing new
work opportunities.
You will identify and pursue new contracts, maintain strong client relationships,
contribute to tender and proposal activities, and represent Safe Traffic Management
across the industry.
Success in this role comes from building trust, creating opportunities, and supporting
sustainable growth while maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
What success looks like in this role
Business Growth
- Identifying and securing new contracts and project opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry
stakeholders
- Contributing to tenders, proposals, and business development activities
- Expanding services within existing client accounts
- Supporting the continued growth and reputation of Safe Traffic Management
Industry Leadership
- Representing Safe Traffic Management professionally within the industry
- Maintaining awareness of industry requirements and opportunities
- Supporting technical discussions and client solutions where required
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, or
contract acquisition roles within the construction industry
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to growth
- Ability to work independently and drive results
Highly Desirable
- Traffic Management Design (TMD) qualification (if the candidate has this
experience, this will be remunerated accordingly)
- Experience within traffic management, civil construction, infrastructure, or
utilities
- Existing industry relationships and networks
