As a Technical Support Officer, your key responsibilities include:
- Support the diverse demands for preparatory procedures and practices for government funded and fee for service courses.
- Ensure the appropriate allocation of Automotive materials and resources are provided to support delivery of programs.
- Liaise with suppliers to determine the best and most economic products to be purchased in line with Chisholm’s purchasing requirements.
- Provide general assistance in the maintenance and setting up for classroom activities including gallery spaces, for all Automotive programs.
- Provide technical support in the promotion of regular Automotive and Supply Management activities, events and exhibitions, internal and external to the institute.
- Ensuring correct Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) practices and procedures are maintained in accordance to legislation.
- Liaise with the OH&S representative for the Automotive area and respond to the procedures set out within Institute and government guidelines.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in carrying out hands on technical activities, coupled with demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools (such as power tools).
Qualifications required for the role
Essential
- Current driver’s licence
- Current forklift licence
- Certificate III in Automotive Vehicle Mechanical or Indenture of Automotive apprenticeship completion
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
- Certificate IV In Work Health and Safety
