Rapid Tree Solutions Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated arboricultural company
servicing Ballarat and surrounding areas. We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Arborist (3IC) to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work as a Third-in-Charge Arborist, undertaking a broad range
of arboricultural duties and providing day-to-day guidance to ground crew and junior staff.
The role will include:
- undertaking tree pruning, hedging and tree removal works;
- tree climbing using appropriate climbing techniques and equipment;
- operating chainsaws and other arboricultural equipment;
- chipping and general ground crew duties;
- working from elevated work platforms where appropriately qualified;
- maintaining and caring for machinery, chainsaws and other equipment;
- supervising and assisting with the training and development of apprentice arborists;
- providing day-to-day guidance and direction to ground crew;
- assisting in ensuring arboricultural works are undertaken safely and professionally;
and
- ensuring work is undertaken in accordance with relevant Australian and New Zealand
arboricultural standards.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- relevant arboricultural industry experience;
- demonstrated experience in tree climbing, pruning and tree removal;
- experience operating chainsaws and arboricultural machinery;
- ability to work safely as part of a climbing and ground crew;
- ability to provide guidance and supervision to less experienced workers;
- strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- a commitment to workplace health and safety; and
- willingness and ability to obtain or complete relevant Australian licences, certifications
and training required for the role.
Relevant qualifications and licences are desirable. Applicants with relevant industry
experience and demonstrated practical arboricultural skills will also be considered.
Salary and Employment
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- $40 per hour + superannuation
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Based in Delacombe, VIC, with work across Ballarat and surrounding areas
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious and experienced in
arboricultural work, with the practical skills to undertake tree climbing, pruning, removals and
associated arboricultural duties and the ability to assist with the supervision and
development of other workers.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
