About the role
Working within the East Port Phillip team, the ranger position helps support the on-ground management of the Patterson River and National Water Sports Centre as well as Port management functions between Mentone to Portsea. You will work as part of a team in delivering a variety of projects and services including monitoring and maintenance of park and port infrastructure, visitor programs and patrolling both on water and land as well as supporting minor projects and tasks.
About the Team
We are a small team of four rangers and one ranger team leader that is looking for someone that can become part of our team until November 2026 and help keep the local port and parks operating safely.
We're looking for someone with:

Relevant qualifications including maritime and/or other trade certificates such as carpentry.

Demonstrated experience delivering routine and on-ground services and projects under general supervision as part of a team to achieve agreed outcomes.

Strong communication, interpersonal skills and able to use various computer applications.

Ability to work as part of a team, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
