ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking applications from passionate, reliable, experienced, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to assist residential aged-care clients with their everyday needs. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience working in an Aged Care setting and must be able to demonstrate the key competencies below:
- Ensure the immediate care needs of residents are met with proper documentation procedures.
- Oversee and evaluate residents’ care plans and individualised nursing needs.
- Able to successfully supervise and provide support, education and coaching to other staff under your care.

This role is offered on a full-time basis - with the flexibility to work across a range of morning, afternoon, and night shifts (starting nominated salary at $90,000.00 + super, dependent on skills and experience).
REGISTERED NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION (KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Assist residents with daily living activities as per their personal needs.
- Perform residents’ basic hygiene care tasks to ensure optimal comfort.
- Safe administration of residents’ medication as per their personal care plans and ensure proper storage/management of medication.
- Deliver residents’ care in strict adherence to professional standards and other relevant health care policies/procedures/protocols that are in place. All care must be delivered within a team approach based on mutual respect and clear communication between all involved parties.
- Formulate therapeutic relationships with the residents and possess excellent bedside manners.
- Communicate the residents’ care plans and other residents’ needs (clinical, emotional, and behavioural) effectively and efficiently to concerned multidisciplinary teams.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Completed relevant qualifications in Nursing.
- Current AHPRA Nursing Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) (with no restrictions)
- Previous experience in Health/Aged Care environment, especially with Elderly residents, is essential.
- Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and other relevant Aged Care Practices/Procedures.
- Current Basic Life Support Qualification (Manual Handling, First Aid and CPR).
- Understanding Medication Management principles and implementation is a must.
- Ability to identify and manage risks efficiently and effectively.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Up-to-date immunisations:
Recent and valid annual Flu vaccination (2023).
COVID-19 Vaccination: 3 doses, including Booster.
- Valid AFP Police Clearance Certificate or National Criminal History Check (no older than 6 months) (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Must have valid/full work rights in Australia (we will require a passport/visa copy for verification if applicable).
- Having a current Driver’s License (preferred).
