We are a fast-growing Australian cosmetic and personal care manufacturing startup, working across formulation, production, compliance, and distribution. We build high-quality, regulatory-compliant (TGA, GMP, COSMOS, Organic, and HALAL-certified) products and partner with brands locally and internationally. The Role
This is a true all-rounder finance role for someone who enjoys working closely with the business. You’ll own day-to-day accounting, ensure compliance, and help shape financial processes as the company scales. You’ll work directly with the founders and play a key role in building a solid financial foundation for growth.
Day-to-Day Accounting
- Manage end-to-end accounting, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, payroll support, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple cost centres
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, PAYG, and payroll tax.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and ATO requirements.
- Liaise with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors
Manufacturing & Inventory
- Oversee inventory accounting, stock movements, and valuations.
- Track manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overheads
- Work closely with production and warehouse teams to improve cost and stock controls.
Systems & Process Building
- Own and improve accounting systems (Xero or similar)
- Set up scalable finance processes suitable for a growing manufacturing business.
- Support system integrations with inventory, payroll, or ERP platforms
About You
Experience & Background
- 3–5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles
- Must have experience in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals or food manufacturing industries
- Comfortable being hands-on and owning outcomes end-to-end
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA / CPA (or currently studying) preferred, but not essential
Skills & Mindset
- Strong understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
- Solid Excel skills and confidence working with cloud accounting systems
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail, with a commercial and problem-solving mindset
- Clear communicator who enjoys working closely with founders and operators

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
