Fixed-Term Contract | Make a Real Difference in the Lives of Older People
We're looking for a passionate and organised Community Participation Officer to join our Community Participation and Volunteering team on a fixed-term contract. If you enjoy building relationships, coordinating services, and helping older people stay active and connected in their communities, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As part of our Out & About program, you'll play a key role in supporting older people to maintain their independence and social connections through individual social support services. You'll coordinate client bookings, support volunteers, manage schedules, and ensure participants receive responsive, person-centred support that helps them continue living well at home and in their community.
No two days are the same as you work closely with clients, carers, volunteers, and community stakeholders to create positive experiences and meaningful outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating client intake, bookings, scheduling and service delivery
- Supporting older people to access community activities and essential services
- Assisting with volunteer coordination, rostering and day-to-day support
- Maintaining accurate records, case notes and program data
- Building positive relationships with clients, carers and community partners
- Contributing to quality improvement and service excellence initiatives
About You
You'll bring:
- Experience in community services, aged care, social support or a similar sector
- Strong administration, scheduling and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A person-centred and culturally inclusive approach
- Confidence using client management systems and digital platforms
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- A qualification in Community Services, Aged Care or a related field will be highly regarded.
