The role
The core purpose of the Claims & Assessing Division is to manage the Claims Process to control costs while providing customers with a seamless, easy journey. We aim to provide prompt service with personal attention to all customers while remaining vigilant in managing incurred costs.
The Business Analyst sits within the Claims & Assessing Design & Delivery Team, reporting to the Change Delivery Manager. The team's purpose is to:

Ensure delivery of initiatives with project and change management expertise.

Deliver problem definition and solution design with business and process analysis expertise.

Enable every C&A team member to understand the skills and processes required to implement change.

Deliver excellence in day-to-day operational support.
The BA will ensure the successful design and development of solutions for Claims & Assessing, including analysis of new business processes, new products and operational improvements, defining and documenting business requirements, modelling processes, producing IT functional specifications and coordinating user acceptance testing.
What you’ll be doing

Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather system and process requirements

Conduct field and desk research including interviews, onsite observations, user surveys and competitor analysis

Develop business process maps to ensure clarity for all stakeholders

Translate business requirements into functional and IT specifications and brief these into the IT department

Manage issues and change requests, balancing quality, cost and timeliness

Develop testing and approval processes, brief testing teams and ensure solutions meet original requirements

Monitor changes post-implementation to ensure success

Manage project artefacts including requirements, wireframes, scopes and project plans

Investigate and measure process improvement opportunities and work with the business to implement solutions

Produce supporting documentation including policies, procedures, training materials and reference guides

Ensure the Support and Testing Team have the knowledge needed to support implemented changes

Network with internal and external resources to bring best practice to projects

Any other reasonable duties as required to ensure effective delivery of changes across C&A
What experience you’ll bring
-
Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong business process modelling (BPMN, Visio), As-Is/To-Be process mapping and data models;
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the proven ability to work at all levels of an organisation;

A superior level of attention to detail and accuracy;

The ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus;

Experience in managing and completing user acceptance testing;
- Must be a strong problem solver, comfortable with complexity and ambiguity
