Summary of Job:
The Project Manager will have responsibility for projects ranging from customer-driven engineering projects, internal research and development (IR&D) and capital equipment procurement and commissioning. Deliverables include project planning, cost tracking, delivery schedule management and risk mitigation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Project management responsibility for multiple assigned projects, including planning, cost tracking, delivery schedule and risk mitigation
- Lead communication for diverse project specific stakeholders eg: suppliers, customers and Moog internal teams
- Working with the engineering team to ensure technical and commercial support are provided for products/programs including design and after sales support
- Ensure that designs meet applicable standards (performance, reliability, producibility, legal compliance etc) and are adequately documented
- Provide regular reports on project KPIs , including EAC, budget burndown, and on-time delivery
- Develop and utilise tools to provide insights on project performance and to assist in task scheduling
- Assist with the creation of designs, cost estimates and technical proposals for new business opportunities
- Facilitate project management for specific customer projects and support direct customer relationships
- Support the process, and ensure compliance to the project management and engineering processes
- Provide contractual project support, co-ordinate contractual negotiation/review and support commercial sales negotiation
- Follow Moog systems and procedures for product development, design and production and contribute to the development of improved systems and procedures
Qualifications:
- Required
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
- Tertiary Qualification in Project Management/Business Management or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP/PMBOK)
Work Experience:
- Required
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
- Advantageous
- Defence industry experience
- Experience with project management tools (MS Projects/JIRA etc)

Eligibility:
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain the required Australian security clearance. Continued employment beyond the six‑month probationary period is conditional on being granted the appropriate clearance.
