This role would suit a motivated and safety-focused individual looking to start a long-term career in the energy industry. As an Apprentice Distribution Line Worker (Overhead), you’ll be fully supported to study, train and work towards your Certificate III in ESI Distribution Overhead (UET30621), while contributing to essential energy services that support regional communities.
You’ll play a key role in building, maintaining and repairing overhead electrical distribution networks while developing practical, in-demand skills.

What your role will look like
- Learn to safely work at heights, including climbing power poles
- Understanding electrical concepts and applying them safely, such as fault finding, testing and repairing electrical distribution equipment.
- Work towards obtaining licences such as elevated work platforms, dogging and forklift
- Travel to Perth for structured training blocks with our Registered Training Organisation
What you’ll bring
- Be 17 years or older, or completing Year 12 at the time of application.
- Live locally in Esperance.
- Hold a current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
- Ability to travel and spend time away from home for training.
- Strong commitment to safety for yourself and others.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
