About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Advisor - Wastewater Quality to join our Country Regions Operations Support team based in Albany. You will lead regional compliance activities relating to wastewater treatment, biosolids disposal and water recycling. Working closely with operational teams, technical specialists and external stakeholders, you will support the safe, compliant and efficient management of wastewater services across the region.

What you can expect with this role
-
Lead the implementation of wastewater quality frameworks and compliance programs that help protect public health, the environment and the communities we serve.

Monitor the performance of regional wastewater treatment plants, analyse trends and investigate issues to identify improvement opportunities and manage compliance risks.

Coordinate wastewater monitoring, reporting and regulatory obligations, ensuring operational activities meet legislative and licence requirements.

Drive resource recovery and reuse initiatives, managing existing programs and working with stakeholders to identify sustainable opportunities for wastewater, biosolids and sludge reuse.

Investigate wastewater quality incidents and non-compliances, coordinating corrective actions and contributing to ongoing operational improvements across the region.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Degree or tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, science, natural resource management or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent industry experience.

Experience operating in heavily regulated environment - environmental compliance, wastewater management, wastewater treatment, biosolids disposal and reuse programs

Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and the legislation, standards and regulatory requirements governing wastewater and recycled water management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret performance data, assess risks and identify practical solutions.

Proven stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective relationships and provide technical advice to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes while demonstrating Water Corporation's values and commitment to a high-performance culture.
