The Stockyard Group breed, raise and feed premium grain-fed Wagyu and Angus cattle from our properties located at Jondaryan, on the Darling Downs QLD and The New England region on the Northern Tablelands, NSW. Still 100% owned by the Hart family, Stockyard has been dedicated to bringing people together over outstanding beef since its inception in 1958. As a Livestock Hand at Stockyard, you’ll become an integral part of our collaborative and supportive team to assist with the livestock operations of Kerwee Feedlot, including:
- maintaining accurate daily records, including data entry into StockaID, our livestock management system
- general cattle handling
- drafting
- cutting out
- pen riding and moving cattle within the feedlot
- cattle inductions

diagnosing animal health with a strong emphasis on animal welfare
- general maintenance of facilities

administration of the animal health treatments
