About the role
MSS Security is seeking a Casual Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Hervey Bay Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Conduct security screening for passengers, staff and visitors

Operate security screening equipment, including metal detectors, X-ray machines and ETD equipment, to detect prohibited items and potential security risks.

Screen passengers, staff, visitors and baggage in line with security procedures and airport requirements.

Monitor and patrol airport premises to identify and report any security threats or breaches.
Requirements:

Full Australian working rights
-
Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing)

Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication
-
Proficient in basic computer skills
-
Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours
-
24/7 availability required
