ACCIONA has partnered with SMEC to form the Malabar System Alliance, working with Sydney Water to deliver the ten-year Malabar System Investment Program. The first package involves refurbishing and expanding the Liverpool and Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facilities. The upgrade will boost system resilience and treatment capacity for a network serving two million people. Completion of this first package is expected in 2029.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Contracts Administrator to join the Malabar System Alliance commercial team, reporting to the Commercial Manager. You'll support the effective negotiation, documentation and implementation of contractual matters across the project, working closely with the wider commercial and project delivery teams. This is a chance to build your contracts experience on a major water infrastructure alliance, gaining exposure to alliance contracting models and long-term program delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Administer contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
Track key milestones, deliverables and renewal dates
Prepare and review progress payment certificates
Draft contractual correspondence to the client and subcontractors
Identify and help mitigate commercial and contractual risks
Maintain accurate contract registers and documentation
Support commercial reporting and financial position analysis
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree in construction management, law, commerce or related field
Experience as a Contracts Administrator in civil infrastructure
Working knowledge of the Security of Payments Act (SOPA)
Strong written communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work collaboratively across internal and external teams
