What You’ll Be Doing
This is a broad, hands-on legal role that has you partnering closely with teams across both our amazing brands. You'll provide practical legal advice that helps us grow, innovate and navigate an evolving regulatory landscape.
A key part of this role will be shaping the legal foundations that support some of our most exciting future initiatives - including our growing focus on AI. You'll provide trusted advice on the legal, regulatory and governance considerations surrounding AI, helping the business adopt emerging technologies responsibly while enhancing our marketing capability, customer experience and commercial outcomes. The frameworks and guidance you develop will become the building blocks that underpin how our business operates in the years ahead. You’ll:

Provide pragmatic legal and regulatory advice across the business

Negotiate and draft commercial agreements with key partners and suppliers

Support major projects, business initiatives and strategic investments

Review marketing campaigns, website content and customer comms

Advise on privacy, data governance, information security and emerging technologies

What Sets You Apart
You're a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys getting close to the business and solving complex problems. With at least eight years' PQE and a strong foundation built in a mid or top-tier private practice environment, you're known for your calm, professional style and ability to provide clear advice. We’re looking for:

Strong experience in commercial contracts and regulatory compliance
- Experience in a regulated industry, ideally financial services or insurance

Knowledge of ACL, Privacy Act and financial services regulation

Great communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to technology, AI, digital platforms or technology procurement is a big plus!
** This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave **
