About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Sheetmetal Trades Worker to join our growing team. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and on-site installation of sheet metal products, someone who can do marks out, shapes, forms and joins sheetmetal and other materials to make products and components.
The position suits a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and can follow drawings and instructions accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Shaping cut metal pieces into finished products using presses, rollers
- Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and job specifications
- Measure, cut, fold, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools
- Fabricate sheet metal components including HVAC ducts, fittings, panels, and flashings
- Install ductwork systems on-site, ensuring correct alignment, sealing, and support
- Assemble and fix sheet metal components using bolts, rivets, welding, or other methods
- Ensure all duct installations meet project requirements and Australian standards
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper airflow performance
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Sheet Metal) or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker, preferably in HVAC projects
- Experience in duct fabrication and duct installation
- Ability to read and work from drawings and plans
- Good knowledge of tools, machinery, and installation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Understanding of WHS requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently on-site

Pay: $77,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
