Achieve Something Great
This rewarding role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal people, families and communities by supporting access to culturally safe, recovery-oriented mental health care. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in engaging Aboriginal consumers and their families, advocating for their needs, and supporting positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
You will work collaboratively with clinicians, community organisations and Aboriginal services to strengthen cultural responsiveness and ensure mental health services are accessible, respectful and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal communities. The role also involves mental health promotion, community liaison and contributing to the ongoing development of culturally appropriate services across the district.
As part of SWSLHD's network of Aboriginal Mental Health Workers, you will be supported by a broader team committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people and fostering a culturally safe and inclusive workplace. Opportunities for ongoing professional development and further education are available to support your career growth and development within the mental health sector.
